About Our Lead Pastor
My name is Todd Wiggins, and I have served as Lead Pastor of Southbridge since March 2020. My wife, Olivia, and I were married in 2008, and God has blessed us with six wonderful children. He has also blessed me with the great privilege of living in the greatest state in the country—Georgia—and, more importantly, of being a lifelong Georgia Bulldog.
I grew up in a small community in middle Georgia, where I learned two things at an early age: Jesus is Lord, and Saturdays in the fall belong to the Dawgs. As a child, I became a follower of Jesus at Barnesville First Baptist Church, where I developed the foundation for my faith through studying and applying God's Word. I was also introduced to the sacred traditions of Georgia football: cheering for the Dawgs, believing every season could end in Atlanta, and understanding that there are certain teams you simply do not cheer for under any circumstances. Georgia Tech is one of them.
During college, God opened doors for me to serve in ministry. I was blessed to serve in leadership roles within local churches and through Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM). Eventually, God called me away from pursuing an engineering career and into vocational ministry. In 2004, I left my business, church, and family to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It was a formative season of preparation for pastoral ministry—and, if we're being honest, a long way from Athens.
Since then, God has graciously allowed me to serve as Lead Pastor in three churches across North Carolina and Georgia over the past twenty years. He has also given me opportunities to preach the gospel and teach God's Word throughout North America and around the world. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my love for Jesus, my love for my family, and my unwavering commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.
My desire as a pastor is to glorify God by being a disciple who makes disciples. I seek to love God, faithfully preach His Word, and lead others to know Christ and grow in a lifelong relationship with Him. And when I'm not doing that, you can probably find me watching Georgia football, talking about Georgia football, preparing to watch Georgia football, or explaining to someone why Georgia football is better than Georgia Tech football. Go Dawgs!
